Mushroom Multiples — times tables, disguised as an arcade game.
Each times table from ×2 to ×10 is its own level, so a child who is fine with 2s and stuck on 7s can drill only the 7s. Three mixes combine several at once: Easy Mix (×2, ×5, ×10), Tricky Mix (×7, ×8), and Super Mix (every table together).
Every present looks the same whether it should be shot or not — there is no color or shape that gives the answer away. The safe numbers are near misses on purpose, so practicing 7s sends 55 and 57 drifting down beside 56. The only way through a level is to actually know the table, which is the whole point.
Ten multiples finishes a level. You keep one star for each shield still standing, so a clean round is three stars, and three-starring a table adds a mushroom friend to the meadow behind the menu — nine to collect.
Rounds also pay coins, which are spent in Mushroom's Room and Mushroom's Garden on toys, furniture, and plants. Anything bought can be dragged anywhere, and the mushroom will wander over to whatever your child put down: he naps in the bed, bounces beside the ball, rides the swing.
Why do some tables pay double?
Tables that haven't been three-starred yet are worth ×2 coins, and two-starred tables ×1.5. It means the shop quietly pulls a child toward the tables they find hard rather than the ones they've already mastered. The badge on the menu shows which is which.
My child says it's too hard.
Aiming is meant to be effortless — tapping a present curves the shot into it, so nobody has to lead a moving target. Presents also fall faster on a table that's already been starred, and slowest on a fresh one, so switching to an unstarred table is the gentlest setting there is.
How do I turn off the music?
The Music and Sounds buttons sit at the bottom of the menu. Both are remembered.
Can two children share a device?
Not yet — the game keeps one set of progress per device. If that would help you, say so and I'll look at adding it.
Where is progress kept?
On the device only, which means deleting the app clears it and progress doesn't follow a child from a phone to an iPad. Nothing is uploaded anywhere; see the privacy page.
